Phantom Forest

Polished oval chlorite phantom in quartz gem set in sterling silver.

The clarity and lustre of the quartz paired with the suspended chlorite creates the illusion of a waft of smoke frozen in time or a tiny phantom forest.  Each one is unique and even within each specimen the chlorite varies in colour from a beautiful grey-purple to light ecru with small flecks of coral and peach.  Because the captured chlorite is three dimensional, in different lighting and at different angles various shapes emerge as you play with the ring in your hands.  What do you see?
